  • 1. Design and Conceptualization
    • Design Creation: Designers create sketches or digital designs for the hoodie, including details like color, fit, fabric, and style (e.g., pullover, zip-up).
    • Tech Pack Development: A technical package (tech pack) is created, which includes measurements, fabric specifications, stitching details, and other technical information for manufacturers.

    2. Fabric Selection
    • Material Choice: Common fabrics for hoodies include cotton, polyester, fleece, or blends. The fabric is chosen based on the desired texture, weight, and durability.
    • Fabric Sourcing: The selected fabric is sourced from suppliers and inspected for quality.

    3. Pattern Making
    • Pattern Creation: Patterns are drafted based on the design specifications. These patterns serve as templates for cutting the fabric.
    • Grading: Patterns are adjusted to create different sizes (e.g., S, M, L, XL).

    4. Cutting
    • Fabric Layering: The fabric is laid out in multiple layers on a cutting table.
    • Cutting Process: Using the patterns, the fabric is cut into pieces (e.g., front panel, back panel, sleeves, hood, and pocket pieces).

    5. Sewing and Assembly
    • Stitching: The cut fabric pieces are sewn together using industrial sewing machines. This includes:
      • Attaching sleeves to the body.
      • Sewing the hood and attaching it to the neckline.
      • Adding pockets (if applicable).
      • Attaching ribbed cuffs and waistbands.
    • Zipper or Button Attachment: For zip-up hoodies, zippers are sewn into the front panel.

    6. Printing or Embroidery
    • Screen Printing: Designs, logos, or graphics are printed onto the hoodie using screen printing, heat transfer, or digital printing.
    • Embroidery: Logos or designs are stitched onto the fabric using embroidery machines.

    7. Quality Control
    • Inspection: Each hoodie is inspected for defects, such as stitching errors, fabric flaws, or printing mistakes.
    • Washing and Finishing: Some hoodies undergo washing or distressing processes to achieve a specific look or feel.

    8. Packaging
    • Folding and Tagging: Hoodies are folded, and labels or tags (e.g., size tags, care instructions) are attached.
    • Packaging: Hoodies are packed into polybags or boxes for shipping.

    9. Distribution
    • Shipping: Finished hoodies are shipped to retailers, distributors, or directly to customers.

    Additional Notes:
    • Sustainability: Some manufacturers use eco-friendly practices, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, or water-saving dyeing techniques.
    • Customization: Hoodies can be customized with unique designs, colors, or fits based on customer preferences.
